May 7-14: Zoom Meet Ups: Watch your email for a message from your Local Liaison about these free meetings. Get Zoom practice (bring your questions) and see some familiar faces. Links will come from your LL and be posted on a members’ only page at

May 15- June 20: Show-Mo: Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, Southern Breeze will host our first ZOOM, SHOW-MOs! (Short for SHOW us what you've got MONTH). The purpose of these sessions is to help Breezers polish their first pages and query letters to submissions-ready materials in time to enter our Writing Contest, which closes June 30th. More information on the Writing Contest can be found here: The Show-Mo sessions will be organized by genre and members will not be limited to the number they can attend, however, each member can only enter the contest once in one category. More information regarding Show-Mo dates, times, and rules will be sent out via member wide email soon, and the information will also be posted at here: We look forward to seeing you at a Show-Mo or two, where you can Show your fellow Breezers what you got and together we can help you make it better.

June 1- June 30: Southern Breeze Writing Contest: Be on the lookout for more information during the month of May, and get your work all polished up to enter!

Tip of the month:  Now is a great time to get to know Zoom, a video communication platform. Not only is it used for online SCBWI events but you can also get your own free Zoom account. It's a great way to connect with all your Southern Breeze friends or even critique partners. Look for Zoom tutorials at
